What is it?
The Annual St.
Patrick's Day Dandelion Days Celebration is a
family-oriented event, and it's lots of fun! It
includes an outdoor bazaar and flea market featuring antiques, relics and
collectibles, arts and crafts, and much more. There is also lots of fun,
food, street entertainers and even a 5K run. But Dandelion Days is also
known for its rich local community flavor, one thing that makes it so
popular. In fact, a great many attendees come from outside the county to
join the fun! Not lease of all, Dandelion days is the Jackson Lions
Club's largest fundraising effort and benefits student scholarships and
community events. Click

Next
year (2011) will be the 39th Annual Dandelion Days event. Here's the info
(check back occasionally as the event nears--we'll keep this updated):

When? Saturday and Sunday, March 19th
and 20th, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in
Downtown
Jackson.

Merchant booths are
available along Jackson's
historic Main Street
and adjacent areas as follows:

Booth size is 10' X 10' (this is the only size
available; for more space, you may purchase additional booths).

|

|
The cost for each booth will be $90. This is
for two days (no refunds are offered if you cancel after
2/15/11).

|
|
•
|
You must provide your own tables and sales
fixtures.

|
|
|
|
•
|
Booth set-up is permitted the Friday before the
event (March 18th, 2011).

|
|
|
|
•
|
No persons are permitted in the booths after
selling hours; booths will be patrolled Friday and Saturday nights.

|
|
|
|
•
|
No electricity is provided, and no generators
are allowed.

|
|
|
|
•
|
Prior-year space holders (i.e. those who
exhibited this year) have first choice for 2012's event IF
they paid by 4:00 p.m. Sunday of THIS year's event (i.e., by March
20th, 2011). The remaining spaces are offered on a
first-come, first-served basis.

|
All spaces not occupied by 10:00 a.m. on
Saturday (March 19th. 2011) will be
re-sold with no refunds due the original booth holder.

|
This is a "rain or shine" event. No
refunds will be given on account of weather.

How
do I become a merchant? To apply
for booth space, you must first submit a letter describing what it is you
intend to sell. Provide your Sales Tax ID# and photos of your product (if
available). Include all contact info with name, address, phone, fax., email, etc. Include a check, made out to Jackson
Lions Club, for $90 for each space needed.
What
kind of merchandise can I sell? Pretty much
anything that can be stored and handled comfortably within the confines
of a 10' X 10' booth, and which is in keeping with the community and
family flavor of this event.
Please note: This is a family and
community event. The Jackson Lions Club will screen potential merchants,
in part, based on the type of products they wish to sell, and reserves
the right to reject any application it so deems inappropriate for this
event, or for any other reason. Furthermore, the Jackson Lions Club reserves the right
to close down and expel any merchant booth it finds selling objectionable
merchandise, irrespective of the description provided in your letter of
application.
What
CAN'T I sell at Dandelion Days? No
firearms, fireworks or similar explosives, alcoholic beverages, illegal
substances, or any other materials or merchandise not in keeping with the
family and community flavor of the event (see "What kind of
merchandise can I sell", above).

How do I submit my application? Please mail
it, including your check, product photos and a self-addressed, stamped
envelope to the Jackson Lions Club, Dandelion Committee, P.O. Box 64, Jackson CA. 95642. Attn: Dandelion
Days. Reservations are not taken by phone.
Upon receipt of the above
information your application will be processed. If space is available,
confirmation information will be sent to you in the envelope you
provided. If no space is available, or if your application is declined
for any other reason, your check will be returned.
